However, if vision is bad in the squinting eye, it may not straighten with spectacles or with contact lenses. Usually, children with a squint have no issues wearing well-fitted prescription soft contact lenses, but there are a few specialised glasses with prism lenses that can control the degree of the squint, and these cannot be included in contact lenses.
